Rumbling sounds, bright visions - that's how Qmea was born:
As with many Finnish success stories, Qmea, too, was founded after a sauna session one spring night in 2012. At first, Qmea consisted of two friends: Kimmo and Sam, united by their passion for music and IT. Their bright vision was to create music and build the digital world.
The company name Qmea comes from the Finnish word “kumea”, which describes the sound of thunder or the rumbling sound of big machines. The name was picked up from the founders’ musical preferences. The rumbling sound conveys confidence and something noble.
Ever since the beginning, our company’s vision has been to combine deep technical expertise with commercial understanding and passion for better digital solutions. We don’t shy away from challenges and deliver only the best with a smile.
The key idea of Qmea is best described with a phrase we heard in the very early days of the company: “Do Good Things With Great People.” And now we have just started.
